====== Allocating devices to device pools ====== ===== Overview ===== The **Device Pool Management Page** allows users to **view, search, filter, select, and manage devices** within the device pool. From this page, users can assign actions to multiple devices, manage device pools, and easily copy device serial numbers. {{ :user_manual:devicepools:create_devicepool:allocating_devices_to_device_pools.png? |}} ===== Page Overview ===== When you open the page, you will see two main sections: * **Header & Actions Area** – Search, filters, and action buttons for managing devices * **Devices Table** – A paginated, sortable table displaying devices in the pool ===== Searching & Filtering Devices ===== ==== Basic Search ==== 1. Use the **search bar** at the top of the page. 2. Enter a device-related value (for example, serial number or name). 3. The table refreshes automatically to show matching devices. ==== Advanced Filters ==== 1. Open the **filter panel** in the header area. 2. Select one or more filters (such as device type or status). 3. Active filters are displayed below the header. 4. The device list updates to reflect your selections. ===== Selecting Devices ===== ==== Single & Multiple Selection ==== * Click the **checkbox** next to a device to select it. * Select multiple devices to perform bulk actions. ==== Selection Counter ==== The header displays the **number of selected devices**, helping you track bulk selections. ==== Clearing Selection ==== Use the **clear selection** option in the header to deselect all selected devices. ===== Managing Device Pools ===== ==== Viewing Device Pools ==== Each device row displays its associated **device pools** as chips. * Up to three pools are shown by default. * Additional pools may be hidden if more exist. ==== Removing a Device from a Pool ==== 1. Locate the device in the table. 2. In the **Device Pools** column, find the pool chip you want to remove. 3. Click the **remove (×)** icon on the chip. 4. Confirm the action if prompted. The device will be removed from the selected pool. ===== Copying Serial Numbers ===== To copy a device serial number: 1. Locate the **Serial Number** column. 2. Click the serial number chip. 3. The serial number is copied to your clipboard. 4. A tooltip or notification confirms the copy action. ===== Sorting Devices ===== To sort the device list: * Click on a **column header** to sort by that column. * Click again to reverse the sort order. The table refreshes automatically using the selected sort order. ===== Pagination ===== If many devices are available, they are split across multiple pages.
