Allocated Devices
Overview
This page allows authorized users to view, select, and manage physical devices within the system. It is commonly used to allocate devices, review device status, and perform maintenance actions.
Page Layout
The page is divided into two main sections:
- Header Section – Search, filters, and bulk actions
- Device Grid – A selectable, paginated list of devices
Header Section
The header provides tools to find devices and perform actions on selected devices.
Search & Filters
- Use the search bar to find devices by name, identifier, or other supported attributes.
- Advanced filters may be available depending on configuration.
- Applied filters are displayed so you can quickly review or clear them.
Selection Awareness
- When you select one or more devices in the grid, the header reflects the number of selected devices.
- Some bulk actions may only become available when at least one device is selected.
Device Grid
The grid displays devices and supports server-side pagination, sorting, and multi-selection.

- Multi-row selection using checkboxes
- Pagination with configurable page size
- Sorting by clicking column headers
- Loading indicator while data is retrieved
- Empty state message when no results are found
Page Size Options
- 25 devices
- 50 devices
- 100 devices
Device Status & Connectivity
Online Indicator
- A green animated dot indicates an online device
- A red dot indicates an offline device
- Hovering over the indicator shows the last sync date and time
Last Seen
- Displays the last time the device communicated with the platform
- Exact timestamp is available on hover
Device Details Columns
Device Name
- Click the device name to open the device details page
Communication Mode
- Displayed as a chip (for example: MQTT, LoRa, Cellular)
Identifiers (Copyable)
The following identifiers may be shown as chips:
- IMEI
- Serial Number
- SIM CCID
- MAC Address
For each identifier:
- Only the last 4 digits are visible
- Click the chip to copy the full value to clipboard
- A confirmation message is shown after copying
Device Configuration Flags
Enabled
- Indicates whether the device is enabled
- Displayed as a read-only checkbox
Web SMS
- Indicates whether Web SMS is enabled for the device
- Displayed as a read-only checkbox
Device Options Menu
Each device row includes an Options (⋮) menu. Available actions depend on your permissions, the device type, and communication mode.
Common Actions
Edit Device
- Update device configuration and metadata
Swap Device
- Replace or reassign a device
Swap LoRa Provider
- Available only for LoRa devices
- Requires appropriate provider permissions
View Device
- Opens the device details page
Delete Device
- Permanently removes the device
Download Certificates
- Available only for MQTT devices
- Downloads device security certificates
Note: Actions are hidden if you do not have the required permissions.
Permissions & Safety Rules
- All actions are protected by role-based permissions
- Some actions are conditionally available based on:
- Communication mode (MQTT, LoRa, etc.)
- Tenant / company ownership
- Read-only fields cannot be edited from the grid
Typical User Workflow
- Search or filter to locate devices
- Review device status and identifiers
- Select one or more devices if bulk actions are needed
- Use the options menu to manage an individual device
- Click the device name to view detailed information
Tips & Best Practices
- Use copyable chips to safely share device identifiers
- Check online status before performing maintenance
- Confirm communication mode before downloading certificates or swapping providers
