Before installing your SMRTCold system, ensure your Carel controller is correctly configured. Incorrect settings can lead to setup failures or communication issues.

The following parameters need to be configured on your Carel controller:

• BMS Network Address: 1
• BMS Configuration:
  • Stop Bit: 1
  • Parity: None
• BMS Baudrate (bit/s): 19200
• BMS Protocol: Modbus

Follow these steps using the Carel Applica app:

Download and install the Carel Applica mobile application:

Open the app and connect to your Carel controller using Bluetooth or NFC (depending on model).

• Open the main menu.
• Navigate to the Parameters section.

From the top bar, select Connectivity.

• BMS Network Address: 1

• Stop Bit: 1
• Parity: None

• Baudrate: 19200 bit/s

• Protocol: Modbus

Ensure each setting is confirmed after changing.

Once all settings are correctly applied, your Carel controller is ready for SMRTCold integration.

You may now proceed with the SMRTCold installation.
